Bach used to recicle his compositions with different arrangements and give them another name. This way, the famous Brandenburg Concertos are reborn in some of these Piano Concertos with slightly different arrangements, most notably swapping the harpsichord for a piano.

For example, Keyboard Concerto №6 here is Brandenburg №4. But you'll find more similarities with other works outside the Brandenburg repertoire.

Following this logic, in 2011 Bruce Haynes recycled Bach Cantatas into 6 “New Brandenburg concertos, №7-12” using his style of orchestration. A recording you should not miss.

These Keyboard Concertos are a great alternative to whom prefers the sweeter sound of the piano instead of the harpsichord from the Brandenburg Concertos.
